My Baby Sister Natalie

Hello everyone, I just wanted you to know I have a new roomie....Natalie...we look a lot alike so I kind of think we are related....Mom and Dad went to the hospital last Thursday. It was 4:30 in the morning, so I told them I just needed a neighbor's couch to crash on for a couple hours until Grandma/Grandpa got there, but they decided to take me to the hospital anyways. It all happened pretty fast, Dad set me up w/ a coloring book in the corner, and every a couple minutes I yelled "Go Mommie" w/ the rest of the doctors and 30 minutes later, my new roomie arrived....Natalie Luisa Cortez, 6lbs, 5oz, 18 inches, two extremely healthy lungs and a lot of hair!!!!!

The Easter Bunny

The most amazing thing happened last Sunday....I woke up and the Easter Bunny left me a basket!! Also, eggs filled with cheerios and goldfish were left all over the front and back yards. I got to hunt with all my cousins, boy are they fast getting to the eggs. I like to open each one after I find them, but Christina and Julianna tell me that I need to rush the eggs and then stop for a snack at the end. I will get better at this and give my cousins a run for the most eggs found next year. :)

Getting ready for Easter

Grandma Lum helped me look like a bunny for Easter. I have been learning all about spring, easter bunnies and the easter egg hunt at school and from Dad. I can't wait to go hunting for eggs this year!!!

Zoo with Henry - March 18

I met my oldest and dearest friend, Henry, at the LA Zoo. This is the second time we have gone to the zoo together! It was really fun to run after each other and to see the monkeys, elephants, and tigers. I also go to pet and brush some goats and sheep. It was a windy day in Redondo Beach, but we got perfect weather at the Zoo!!

Kite Festival - March 11

I just met my friend Elsa down in Redondo Beach for the Kite Festival. We saw some beautiful kites and Elsa and I played with bubbles and sand. It was a great day for the festival - windy and not too cold!!

Playing with Marissa

My friend Marissa came over to play. She is still a baby so she cries sometimes, but I make sure she has lot of toys to play with and I like it when she crawls. I can't wait until she can run with me!!

I read to bear

Good big sisters have to take care of their little sisters. I have been practicing by reading to my bear. My bear is a very good listener and I like to embellish all the stories (just like Dad).

My fire truck

I was with Grandma and Grandpa Cortez the other day and we stopped by neighbor Bob's house. He had this really cool fire truck that he let me ride around the block! It even has a hose on the back so if you ever have a fire, Maya to the rescue!!!!

Catching Up

It's been a long time since I've blogged, almost 2 years to be exact! I've been pretty busy, but I thought it was time to get back to it with my little sister coming soon. Here I am, I now like to dress myself. Mommy says I'm supposed to match my clothes, but that seems a little inhibiting. Sometimes I like to put both legs into the same pant leg. Hopefully the trend will catch on. I also love Tinkerbell, so here I am dressed like a fairy!!!


We've been doing a lot of fun stuff. We recently went to this place called Pretend City. I got to pretend to be a farmer, a mechanic, a rock star and more!
